Since our inception in 2013, we have allocated over $1,000,000 in funding to elementary and high schools in Southeast Burnaby and New Westminster supporting inclusive, barrier-free and high quality extracurricular programs. Our partner schools serve richly diverse communities which include families who could not otherwise afford such programming. With 50% of Burnaby's population born outside Canada and over 100 languages spoken within its borders, it stands as one of the most culturally diverse cities in Canada. Similarly, New Westminster is diverse, with 35% of its residents born outside the country. Our goal is to ensure that children and youth in our target neighborhoods have access to the same opportunities as their peers.
